Our Story

Started by a Kid Who Loves Pets

Hi, I'm a 13-year-old middle school student who loves dogs and cats.

I often volunteer with my parents at the San Diego Humane Society and at Frosted Faces Foundation, where I help take care of animals, including senior pets. Spending time with these animals made me realize how much pets mean to people and how much they need us to care for them.

I also started noticing that some seniors and people with disabilities may need a little extra help taking care of their pets, whether it's giving their dog a walk or helping with basic pet care. At the same time, I know a lot of kids and teenagers who love animals and would be excited to help pets and serve their community.

That's where Pet Care For Good started.

I wanted to create a way for young people who love animals to help people and their pets in our community — while also giving back to local shelters and animal organizations.

I'm just getting started, and I hope more young people, families, and community members will join me.

Our Mission

A little extra help goes a long way

Some seniors and people with disabilities love their pets but may have difficulty giving them the exercise and care they need. Pet Care For Good connects caring volunteers with people who need a little extra help.

Our volunteers walk dogs, help with simple pet-care tasks, and support local shelters — so pets stay healthy and their people can keep the companions they love.

Help Us Help More Pets & People

I started Pet Care For Good because I love animals and wanted to find a way to help people and pets at the same time.

We help seniors and people with disabilities with pet care, and we also want to support animal shelters and the pets that are waiting for homes. 80% of each donation goes to local animal shelters, including the Humane Society and Frosted Faces Foundation. The remaining 20% supports operations and outreach to recruit volunteers and build partnerships with senior, veteran, and disability communities.
